A new wave of boy-band fever has been sweeping the nation this summer, and that’s good news for Rush-ers. Nickelodeon announced today that the network has ordered a fourth season of their hit musical comedy Big Time Rush, with 13 new episodes of the band’s show scheduled to go into production in January.
The popular tween show follows the Hollywood misadventures of four boy band-ers, who are also in a real-life band. The third season premiered in May.
“Our viewers continue to love the stories, music, and comedic misadventures of Kendall, James, Carlos, and Logan. Their authentic friendship and brotherhood connects them to each other and their audience, both on camera and when performing in front of thousands of screaming fans,” said Marjorie Cohn, president of Original Programming and Development for Nickelodeon Group, in a press release.
In addition to the show, Big Time Rush is currently on tour promoting their second album, Elevate, as well as their newest hit song, “Windows Down” that was released in June.
