'My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic': The Cutie Mark Crusaders take the stage -- EXCLUSIVE

All Ponyville’s a stage in the next episode of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, which finds Sweetie Belle making her debut as a playwright, director, and actress. (Her play, naturally, stars the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders as well.) The show also features costumes made by Sweetie Belle’s older sister, designer pony extraordinaire Rarity. In fact, the outfits are so stunning that they end up getting more praise than Sweetie Belle’s own work. Oh no! What’s a filly to do?

'Sesame Street': Anna Kendrick demonstrates the word 'absorb' with Elmo and Abby -- VIDEO

Acting with puppets was nothing new for Anna Kendrick when she visited Sesame Street. The Pitch Perfect star had appeared in a music video with the Fraggles, Ben Folds Five and Chris Hardwick in 2012.

“All I need to do now is the Muppets, and I’ve got the ultimate trifecta,” Kendrick told EW on the set of Sesame Street.

With her previous bit of acting alongside Jim Henson creations, Kendrick knew to expect the puppeteers to chat with her, in character, via their puppets, during her time on set. But even that didn’t quite prepare Kendrick for when little Abby Cadabby the fairy told her, “I really liked your arc and range in Up in the Air.”

“That was a freaky experience,” the Oscar-nominee said.

She teamed up with Abby and Elmo for Sesame Street‘s “Word on the Street” segment, where she teaches kids about the word “absorb.” If Kendrick could have picked any other Sesame Street resident to join her for the segment, she’d invite Mr. Snuffleupagus, a favorite from her days watching the PBS program as a kid.

“But I think that might be a little hard to get in frame — me and Snuffleupagus,” the diminutive actress noted.

'My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic': Pinkie's sister is... no fun?! EXCLUSIVE

Huh! Didn’t see that one coming.

Saturday’s Friendship Is Magic introduces a new character to Ponyville: Maud Pie, fun-loving Pinkie Pie’s older sister. The thing is, Maud isn’t exactly what the rest of the Mane Six expect: She’s deadpan, offbeat, and altogether unlike her spirited sibling. (Think Aubrey Plaza, but… a pony.) Can the gang bond with Maud anyway? We’ll find out this weekend — but this exclusive clip from the episode doesn’t exactly bode well:

Nickelodeon announces new awards show: Kids' Choice Sports

Kids who would rather watch basketball than Big Bang Theory are in for a treat this summer when Nickelodeon premieres their first Kids’ Choice Sports awards show, a spin-off of the long-running Kids’ Choice Awards.

While the Kids’ Choice Awards focus on pop culture — TV shows, movies, music — this new awards ceremony will be all about sports. Michael Strahan, former Giants player and current host of Live! With Kelly and Michael, will host and showcase the year’s biggest moments in sports. Top athletes will be a major part of the show, competing in slime-filled competitions and showing off their skills, and the ceremony will even feature a half-time show complete with a live performance by a yet-to-be-announced act.

“Sports are a huge part of kids’ lives, and in the spirit of Kids’ Choice, we are going to celebrate it in the biggest, loudest, slimiest way possible this summer!” president of Nickelodeon Cyma Zarghami said in a statement.

Kids’ Choice Sports will air July 17 from the UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.

Lightning McQueen revs his engine off-road in Pixar's new Radiator Springs short -- EXCLUSIVE

Cars 2 was an enormous box-office hit, but as Mater skipped around the globe as an oblivious player in the world of espionage, fans of the original film may have felt a little homesick for Radiator Springs. Fortunately, Lightning McQueen’s adopted hometown gets another close-up in The Radiator Springs 500 ½.

The entire cast of voices from the films, including Owen Wilson, is back for this six-minute short, which will premiere later this spring exclusively on Disney Movies Anywhere. The gang is enjoying a Founders Day celebration to honor the late Stanley when a gang of Baja racers descend on the town and challenge Lightning to a race.

“We kind of played it up like a western,” says Rob Gibbs, the Mater’s Tall Tales vet who directed the short along with Scott Morse. “These off-road racers come to town, like gunslingers looking for the hottest gunslinger in Radiator Springs, Lightning McQueen. They challenge him to a race, like someone would challenge someone to a duel.”

As you can see from the photo, Lightning isn’t one to walk (drive?) away from a challenge. While he and the Baja pros see who’s the fastest, Mater leads the rest of the gang through a leisurely Founders Day tour of Stanley’s original frontier route. “It’s kind of a contrast between how much fun the tour is and how scary and painful the racers’ journey is, because they take a right where Mater told them to take a left,” says Gibbs. Big Bang Theory duo Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons will also present, along with Sister, Sister alum Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Live! With Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan, according to People.

Tune in for the awards March 29 on Nickelodeon to see these presenters — and, more importantly, to see these presenters (maybe!) get slimed.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' '80s voice cast to reunite for Nickelodeon special

The original 1980s voice cast of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons will reunite for a teenage mutant hourlong special.

Cam Clarke, Rob Paulsen, Barry Gordon, and Townsend Coleman will reprise their original pizza-slinging roles as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo on the new iteration of the series. They’ll appear in Friday’s episode “Wormquake!,” which airs at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon.

The reunion isn’t the buzziest thing this year when it comes to the heroes in a half-shell. The boys in purple, red, orange, and blue will enjoy their 30th birthday this May (the original comic book appeared in 1984) and as such, the series’ creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird will release a commemorative issue to celebrate the anniversary.
