Juggling work and motherhood can be a tricky balancing act, but Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps has found crafty ways to pack in more quality time with her daughter Birdie. For starters, the actress gives her tot space behind the scenes to run the show.
“I have my dressing room set up as a playroom and my four-year-old actually said to my husband [Marc Silverstein] a few weeks ago: ‘Dad, they got rid of mom’s dressing room at Cougar Town and they made it into my playroom.’”
Of course, Busy’s dressing room still has her name on it, but she’s created a special haven on the kid-friendly set, where her daughter also plays with co-star Courteney Cox’s daughter, Coco. (The two actresses hang out too, they’ve collaborated on a One Kings Lane charity home decor sale to benefit The Art of Elysium that starts tonight at 9 p.m. ET.) “Look, when you’re a parent who has to work a lot you have to catch as much time with your kid as possible,” Philipps says. “I fill [my dressing room] with special toys that she doesn’t have at home and only has at work, and then it’s like a special treat to come visit me.” READ FULL STORY »
