Disney XD and the NBA team up for second annual 'Pranksgiving' -- EXCLUSIVE

It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year… for mischievous puppets, anyway.

On Monday, November 4, Disney XD will premiere its second annual “Pranksgiving” programming event. And this year, a few new faces have been drafted to make Pranksgiving even bigger and better: NBA stars Tyson Chandler (New York Knicks), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets) and DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers), who will form a special “pranking crew” with purple-skinned imp Crash of Crash & Bernstein.

'Crash & Bernstein' picked up for season 2

Disney XD’s hit comedy series Crash & Bernstein has gotten the okay for a second season. But it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The “bro-comedy,” about a boy named Wyatt Bernstein whose new puppet Crash comes to life and becomes his loud-mouthed line-stepping surrogate brother, is one of the network’s most popular series in total viewers and across target kid and boy demographics. Production will resume in July and season 2 will premiere this fall.

“Disney XD continues to push creative boundaries for a sitcom and Crash & Bernstein delivers on this promise week in, week out. Crash has quickly become an iconic character on the network, and we look forward to a second season of more purple attitude and disruptive fun with this talented cast and creative team,” says Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide.

The show airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Disney XD's 'Crash & Bernstein': FIRST LOOK

You know how your kids were begging to see Ted earlier this year because the thought of a favorite doll/stuffed animal who could come to life and be your real pal was just so appealing? And remember when you had to shut them down because Ted was simply too filthy (funny, but filthy)? Well now there’s something just for those kids who feel they missed out. And you don’t even have to cringe about it.

Disney XD’s new show Crash & Bernstein (premiering Oct. 8) is about a boy named Wyatt Bernstein, the only son among four kids, whose new puppet Crash comes to life and becomes his loud-mouthed boundary-pushing surrogate brother. Take a look at the moment Crash reveals himself as a sentient being.
