Mandy Moore's wild west cartoon comes to Disney Junior in January -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

Last month, we introduced you to Sheriff Callie’s Wild West, a new CG cartoon featuring the friendly voice of Mandy Moore. The show is already available on Disney Junior’s app and website — and today, the network announced that it will premiere on real, live television in early 2014. January 20, specifically.

This country-western-music-filled series “utilizes folklore of the Old West to impart social skills and lessons for young kids age 2-7 about being a good friend and neighbor,” according to Disney’s release. The story follows Callie (Moore), an adorable lawcat “who keeps the peace in her frontier town of Nice and Friendly Corners using her magic lasso and cowgirl know-how.” Moore’s costars include High School Musical‘s Lucas Grabeel as Callie’s deputy and Gravity Falls‘s Jessica DiCicco as… a sentient cactus. The cast also features “an adorable trio of singing prairie dogs pops up to perform little ditties throughout each episode, emphasizing the lessons that are being introduced and providing a comedic transition between scenes.”

'Mad Men' star Kiernan Shipka lends her voice to 'Sofia the First' -- EXCLUSIVE

In this Sunday’s Sofia the First primetime special, Princess Sofia (Modern Family‘s Ariel Winter) will make a very special new friend: Sally Draper.

Okay, not really. But Sofia’s new pal Oona the mermaid is voiced by a familiar TV presence — Kiernan Shipka, best known for playing Don Draper’s increasingly angsty daughter on Mad Men. Sofia meets Oona while on vacation with her family. (The royals get away from it all by heading to their floating palace on the sea. As you do.) After helping out Oona, Sofia finds that she’s sprouted a mermaid tale of her own — setting the stage for a new adventure that will include a special appearance by Ariel, the Little Mermaid herself. (Attention, all Disney obsessives: Ariel’s iconic voice is performed by original voice actress Jodi Benson.)

Catch a glimpse at Sofia and Oona in the clip below. Sofia the First: The Floating Palace airs Sunday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.on Disney Junior.

Christian Borle, Megan Hilty, Tom Cavanagh headline Disney Junior's 'Lucky Duck'

Two Smashing Broadway stars — and one Royal Pain — will star in Disney Junior’s first-ever original movie, an animated musical called Lucky Duck.

The film stars Tony winner Christian Borle as Lucky, a spirited rubber duck in search of a new home. Over the course of his journey, he meets new friends including sassy hippo Flo (Hilty, currently co-starring on Sean Saves the World) and cautious turtle Snap (Cavanagh, perhaps still best known as NBC’s Ed). Don Kim of The Adventures of Chuck and Friends directs; WGA Award-winner Michael G. Stern wrote the script, while Rick Garcia and William Malpede of Rango composed its music.

“We’re eager to introduce young kids and their parents to our first Disney Junior Original Movie, an exciting adventure with a heart-warming message about never giving up despite all odds,” Joe D’Ambrosia, Disney Junior’s Vice President of Original Programming, said in a statement.

The film is slated to premiere on Disney Junior next summer.

Disney's 'Sofia the First' meets Princess Belle -- EXCLUSIVE CLIP

Princesses helping princesses, y’all. Through the magic of song!

In this Friday’s episode of Sofia the First, the title character finds herself in a royal pickle after being struck by a mysterious curse. (The hex comes after Sofia brags to her friends — life lessons, anyone?) There’s only one person who can help the pint-size princess break the spell: bookish Belle, a.k.a. the Beauty of Beauty and the Beast.

Sure, it’s a little jarring to see the classic heroine rendered in computer animation. But isn’t more Belle always a good thing?

Jake has got a Desperate — and pun-y — new friend swinging by Never Land.

In an upcoming episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Teri Hatcher guest stars as the sneaky pirate Beatrice Le Beak. The bird-like captain has stolen some goods from Captain Hook, and it’s up to Jake’s merry band of pirates to convince her to give them back.
