Rhythm-game makers Harmonix and Disney team up for 'Disney's Fantasia: Music Evolved'-VIDEO

After transforming living rooms into virtual dance floors and concert stages with Dance Central and Rock Band, music-game makers Harmonix are partnering with the House of Mouse for their next title. Possibly the studio’s most ambitious effort to date, Disney’s Fantasia: Music Evolved isn’t so much a traditional objective-based game as it is a creativity-encouraging tool for budding conductors.

More inspired by Walt Disney’s 1940’s animated classic than based on it, the Kinect-enabled title puts players in the role first made famous by a wizard hat-wearing Mickey Mouse. As the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, players will use hand gestures to interact with colorful on-screen prompts, creating musical masterpieces from familiar tracks such as Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.” READ FULL STORY
