Kristen Schaal's guide to life: Use egg beaters and love Mondays

Can’t get enough of Gravity Falls’ lovable and ever-quirky Mabel? The Disney Channel’s got a treat for you: Mabel’s getting her own series of shorts premiering February 3. Called Mabel’s Guide to Lifethe shorts will feature her video blogging and giving her fans advice on topics like dating, fashion, and, most important of all, stickers. They’ll air at 7:55 p.m. ET after episodes of Gravity Falls, the hit animated show about twins Mabel and Dipper having a mysterious and wild summer at their Great Uncle’s home.

We talked to Kristen Schaal, the voice behind Mabel, to hear about her own summers as a kid (spoiler: they involved a potentially murderous doll) and to get her own tips on how to eat “healthy” and why it shouldn’t be so hard to get through Mondays. Turns out we should all go to Schaal the next time we need advice. Check out our interview and an exclusive clip from the new shorts below: READ FULL STORY

'Gravity Falls' exclusive clip: Things are looking down

Gravity Falls takes its name from the small town that serves as the kooky cartoon’s setting — but in this week’s episode, Stan, Dipper, Mabel, and Soos will see that name get literalized when they find themselves descending into a bottomless pit.

Naturally, it’s a long way down; luckily, each member of the gang helps to pass the time by telling a different story to the group. Get a sneak peek at Mabel’s tale in the clip below –a colorful yarn involving a wild beast, a police officer, and a suspicious doctor’s note (“Stan is sick and needs a bear. — Dr. Medicine”)

'Gravity Falls' returns with new episodes and Mabel as the boss: VIDEO

Mabel learns it’s good to be the boss as she takes control of the Shack when Gravity Falls returns with new episodes on the Friday Feb. 15 (9 p.m., ET/PT). It all starts when Mabel questions the way Stan runs the Shack and he challenges her to a bet – whoever can make the most money in three days wins the chance to run the Shack however they wish for the rest of the summer. Mabel takes the bet, throws on the biggest shoulderpads she could find and tries out some new/old leadership methods that have her coddling her employees and encouraging them to follow their hopes and dreams. But the results are not quite what she expected and Mabel finds herself just trying to get back some normalcy.
