Jonathan Groff, otherwise known as rival show choir singer-turned-coach Jesse St. James on Glee, is officially voicing the lead role of Kristoff in Disney’s in-production animated feature Frozen.
Walt Disney Animation Studios announced the casting news Wednesday. In Frozen, loosely based on Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale The Snow Queen, kind and fearless Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) teams with mountain man Kristoff (Groff) and his reindeer friend Sven for a journey through ice, sleet, snow, and trolls to find her older sister Elsa (Idina Menzel), who is magically able to control wintry conditions, causing a perpetual winter.
