Tom Hiddleston in Disney's 'The Pirate Fairy': Watch him sing as a young Captain Hook -- VIDEO

Before the hook, James was just a two-handed cabin boy on a pirate ship in Neverland when he met a fairy named Zarina. And now he wants to sing about it!

Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Marvel’s Thor and The Avengers) voices the young, future Captain in The Pirate Fairy, Disney’s upcoming straight-to-Blu-ray film out April 1. And now you can get your first listen of Loki’s impressive pipes.

The Pirate Fairy follows Tinkerbell (Mae Whitman) as she leads her fellow Pixie Hollow fairies to get back their stolen pixie dust taken by Zarina (Christina Hendricks). As many Disney movies have taught us before, pirates and fairies don’t really mix well and as expected, trouble ensues! Watch the musical sneak peek below: READ FULL STORY

Tom Hiddleston schools Cookie Monster on the importance of waiting

British actor Tom Hiddleston took a snack break with Sesame Street‘s Cookie Monster and the resulting video contains two lessons — one on why delayed gratification is a good thing and the other on how to successfully use your English charm to quell a monster.

The Thor and The Avengers star turned down his action-adventure persona and turned on his best tutelary tricks to show Cookie Monster why waiting to eat one chocolate chip cookie may yield an even better surprise in the near future. The PBS video opens with Hiddleston, looking dapper in a trim cut suit, waving around a tasty looking treat, teasing and tantalizing Cookie Monster with its crumbly goodness. Cookie Monster longingly gazes at the cookie in his palms – “Ah yes, I’ve just made the correlation with your name and what I’m about to eat,” says Hiddleston.

“Oh this hard! This hard for Monster – PLEASE!” Cookie Monster yelps. Trust us, Cookie man, it’s hard for those of us watching from the other end too.

'The Pirate Fairy': Christina Hendricks and Tom Hiddleston join newest Tinkerbell movie

For the sixth installment of the little sprite’s solo adventures, Tinker Bell is getting a new hook.

Zarina, the newest fairy in Pixie Hollow, will be voiced by the voluptuous Christina Hendricks, playing a seafaring, smart, swashbuckling fairy who creates a new type of Pixie Dust that gives her the power of all the other fairies’ talents. Tinker Bell (again voiced by Parenthood‘s Mae Whitman) must find a way to return things to normal.

Zarina also keeps some sinister company.

Disneytoon Studio’s latest Tinker Bell movie, The Pirate Fairy, turns the community of Pixie Hollow on its head when dust-keeper fairy Zarina snatches the Hollow’s essential Blue Pixie Dust (insert your own Breaking Bad joke here, please) — and joins the pirates of Skull Rock.

Among them is a young rogue named James, who is better known by his future title: Captain Hook. None other than Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, will be the voice behind the young soon-to-be villain. “Cabin Boy James is educated and polite and energetic and charming and attentive. James and Zarina are steady on. They’re like best friends … for a while,” said Hiddleston. “It’s all an act. He’s covering for his ruthless and cunning nature.”

Hendricks chimed in: “Imagine the betrayal!”
